On May 1st I and many doctors received an alert from the Florida Department of Health regarding the potential life threatening vitamin K dependent antagonist coagulopathy associated with synthetic cannabinoids.  Multiple states have identified 160 individuals with serious unexplained bleeding including 5 deaths.  The majority of the cases have occurred in Illinois but 2 cases have been identified in Florida.

Names of synthetic marijuana may include  fake pot, fake weed, legal weed, spice, K2, KO, Mind trip, OMG, Black Giant, Matrix, Scooby Snacks, AK- $&, Sexie Monkey, Genie, and others.
